On the 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she wrote about the experience. Mitchell lost her friend Angela during a car accident. She was just 15 years of age. Mitchell wrote Angela, the first song on her album, in memory of Angela. Mitchell also wrote about her incident in the book Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul as well as the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change.
