Mr. Capalot or Polo Capalot as he is commonly referred to in Chicago Illinois started to gain popularity after releasing songs on YouTube. Beginning his releases included songs such as the Come Up and NEVER CARED. Later, he made his SoundCloud debut in the form of a Mixtape "OFFICIAL POLO.G SUNDCLOUD". Gang With Me marked his first single that became a hit, then followed by another single,"Finer Things. The latter was written by him while in prison. It was his debut hit and it racked up million of YouTube views, which brought him to the forefront. Major record labels began to show interest. Pop Out feat. Lil Tjay was a hit for the rapper following his signing an agreement to release his music through Columbia Records. The track received millions of viewings on YouTube. Additionally it landed 22nd on Billboard Hot 100. Polo G gained fame on YouTube as well as other social media sites like Instagram as well as Twitter.
